Hello future Sheet Metal Workers Apprentice
We thank you for your interest in our Sheet Metal Worker Apprenticeship program. Please read the following for information about the application process.
1)We ask that you thoroughly read the application, before signing. Once you have completed the application you will receive an email from Adobe asking you to verify your application submission by clicking link in the email. We will not receive your application until you click the link from Adobe to verify your application submission.
2)It is very important you make sure to provide all mandatory documents, in order to complete your application. At this time we are only asking that you provide:
-Your valid state issued ID or Driver's License
-Your Social Security or ITIN card. You may also provide a form of proof showing your right to work in the U.S.
3)While we highly encourage you to have a High School Diploma or GED certificate, however it is not currently a requirement for entrance into the apprenticeship program.
You may turn in all required documentation in person at our office Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:00pm (closed major Holidays), or submit them anytime by mail or snap a picture to email them to our office info@smartlu49jatc.com or send them via text to (505)238-0900. You may also send them via fax to (505)242-0166.
4)Once you’ve completed the application process you will be placed on our applicant ranking list based on your application completion date. We will also send you an email letting you know your ranking number.
5)We will call with offers of employment based on the application completion list, starting from #1 and going down the list. Many of the contractors with work are in the Albuquerque area, but there are jobs available all over the state and West Texas(Lubbock/Amarillo/El Paso). If you are only interested in the work in your area that will not affect your chances of employment, it will only limit where you can gain employment.
6)You must accept employment with one of our signatory contractors to become an apprentice and be admitted to the apprenticeship program.
The application and required documents need to be returned within 20 days of your application request submission. if you do not turn in your application within the allotted time your application will be purged and you will have to start the entire application process over.
